Overview
East End & High Rock, Grand Cayman
East End is the next district east after Bodden Town, joining North Side in the north east and encompasses some of the most delightful, pastel-coloured cottages and lovely ocean vistas you will find anywhere in Cayman. Its coast road spanning east and west is called Sea View Drive and it is bisected by High Rock Road, that travels from the ocean all the way to the island’s interior.
It is also home to the incredible Health City Cayman Islands, a state-of-the-art hospital complex that attracts people from far and wide to use its excellent facilities. A small village has developed around the hospital, so there are some great amenities, such as the excellent Blue Rock Restaurant and a bank to service the area.
Enjoying its own delightful public beach, East End provides its inhabitants very much with a friendly, village atmosphere. There are some charming restaurants and bars tucked here and there, including Herman’s Fish Fry, a colourful spot perched on the ocean where you can sit out at picnic tables and dine on the freshest fish cooked while you wait. The Blow Holes at East End are an attraction worth visiting, as, to watch water spurt up through the naturally made blow holes with each crashing wave onto the ironshore, is totally mesmerising.
Property ranges from awe-inspiring multi-million-dollar palatial homes to spacious and delightful beachfront cottages to more affordable villas and condominiums. There is a good selection of land lots for sale, most with ocean or beach front views and at a wide range of price points.
